Exhibition opening 1 May 2026 | Anne Morgan Jewellery, Penarth
Anne Morgan Jewellery is proud to present Narrative Adorned: Jewellery as Storytelling, a new exhibition opening 1 May 2026 and running until 31st July 2026. Bringing together seven exceptional contemporary makers — Rachel Larkins, Jo Pond, Buddug Humphreys, Bronwen TylerJones, Sophie Harley and Liz Willis, alongside Anne Morgan — the exhibition celebrates how jewellery can hold, honour, and communicate stories.
Together, these artists create a rich, multivoiced exploration of how stories are worn.
At its core, Narrative Adorned explores jewellery as a vessel for meaning: a keeper of memories, a carrier of folklore, a home for found objects, and a quiet witness to the lives we lead. Each artist approaches narrative from a distinct perspective, offering work that is imaginative, and deeply rooted in personal or cultural storytelling.

• Rachel Larkins creates miniature worlds and sculptural pieces that feel like fragments of fairytales. Hand painted and encapsulated in resin each piece is unique and tells its own tale.
• Jo Pond dabbles in the potential for wearable items to become vehicles for communication; whether through sense, nostalgia, or knowledge. Jo uses found objects and incorporates potentially paradoxical items within jewellery, to create beautiful and on occasion, confusing objects.
• Buddug Humphreys brings Welsh folklore and rural memory to life through expressive mixedmedia works rich with texture and sentiment.
• Bronwen TylerJones uses mechanical components alongside movement and text – words and narrative play an essential role in the thought process and construction of her pieces. We have an amazing collection of Bronwen’s amulet boxes and celebration pieces in the gallery.
• Sophie Harley, renowned for her symbolic, talismanic designs, weaves mythology, wings, hearts, and ancient motifs into pieces that feel protective, personal, and full of narrative depth. We are delighted to have Sophie Harley’s Algerian Love Knot necklace which took a starring role in James Bond movies Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, as worn by Eva Green.
• Liz Willis Everyday objects, such as pins & nails, that were handmade generations ago & have had a previous life are worked on and hand stitched to silver forms to give them a new chapter, raising their status again & making them little pieces of wearable history.
• Anne Morgan brings her signature sculptural textures and coastal influences, exploring how marks, layers, and imperfections can echo the stories we carry.
Narrative Adorned invites visitors to slow down, look closely, and connect with pieces that resonate on a personal level. Whether sparked by nostalgia, curiosity, or a sense of shared experience, each piece offers an invitation to reflect on the stories we inherit, reinterpret, and pass on.

We are working with local illustrator Inga K. Her involvement adds a vibrant visual dimension as her detailed black and white illustrations have been scaled up and printed for the window display. This collaboration strengthens the sense of intentional storytelling and celebration of place.
“A piece of jewellery should be a reflection of a moment, a memory, or a milestone,” Anne says. “It’s not just about what it looks like, it’s about what it represents.”
