Style of the city takes a break at Bournemouth’s newest luxury hotel
Bournemouth, a mere three-hour drive from our Welsh capital has everything to keep us engaged. Enveloped by its beautiful golden beach; and when I say golden, I don’t mean the filter type. This award-winning beach ranked number 25 in best beaches of the world, thanks to Trip Advisors Annual Travellers Choice Awards. If you’re like myself who follows Trip Advisor religiously, you already know it speaks fact and truth (with pictures as back up)
Style of the city wanted to get more familiar with Bournemouth and what better way than trying out its newest five-star luxury location The Nici Hotel, just a five-minute walk from the beach.
The Nici Hotel is where modern and luxury go hand in hand. It’s beautiful décor reminiscent of a Miami type feel, takes you figuratively beyond the confounds of England and well somewhere vibrant and full of style.
Perched on Bournemouth’s West Cliff with amazing coastal views and an outdoor swimming pool, you get a real sense of frivolous fun. There’s even a movie theatre and kid’s play area perfect for families. From the outside the character and style, still very much the same as when it was built in 1912 displays classic Victorian features, upon entering you are whisked away by effervescent, vibrant décor and on-trend colours with a grand piano to match.
Each room at The Nici are of good size, coming with its own cocktail bar. The garden rooms have outdoor hot tubs, perfect for a romantic evening and bathrooms are equally stylish.
Adding fuel to its style, you even get a DJ to serenade you at dinner, at the aptly named South Beach Restaurant, all very fabulous as was the food. Each dish was mouth-watering from south beach sushi rolls, to the many dishes on offer such as the baked Atlantic salmon or Cajun grilled swordfish. Cocktails though are this hotel’s signature offering, and you can be sure to find one to take your fancy.
The customer service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble, and each staff member was friendly and courteous.
So what is our verdict? If you’re looking for a beachfront staycation oozing with sophistication and finesse, The Nici is the perfect choice.
