My journey to founding Norah Rose was anything but ordinary. At 17, I faced the unimaginable loss of my father—a pain that left an indelible mark on my life. Struggling to cope, I turned to unhealthy habits and poor choices, but deep down, I knew this wasn’t my path – I mean, he always did tell me there was another way forward (thanks Dad!).
Fast forward to the lockdown years, and life presented yet another set of challenges. Losing my beloved grandmother, Norah, the backbone of my family, the authentic, creative and passionate woman she was., Absolute devastation filled me once again. A loss that reignited the flickering flame of resilience within me.
With my partner, I embarked on a fresh start, moving to a new city filled with hope and ambition. Yet, life’s trials persisted. Celebrating our news of becoming pregnant but navigating the heartbreak of not one but multiple pregnancy losses one after another another, tested our strength in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Through it all, though, I found clarity in one thing: the need to channel my pain into purpose. That purpose became Norah Rose.
