Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! Happy St. David’s Day!
“In Wales we’re celebrating what lies in our hearts,
On March 1st, parades and concerts – dance, sing and dress
in traditional welsh clothing now I’ll tell you the rest
Daffodils bloom as they did for Dewi
Let’s explore this box for St Davids, shall we?
Have you heard of the stories in the Mabinogion?
You’ll hear them this day – now pop your eye pads on
Warm, fresh bara brith, laverbread and welsh cakes are ready
So dig into these Welsh treats of which there are plenty!”
Poem by Elizabeth Mills, Lush Cardiff Store and Spa Manager
