I skidded into The Manuel Guerra Skincare Clinic stressed after a day of client meetings, slightly late after a longer-than-anticipated journey, so the discovery of this hidden den of tranquillity in the heart of Tower Bridge was exactly what the doctor ordered.
I was greeted by clinic co-founder Manuel Guerra who talked me through my lifestyle, skin type and what I was hoping to achieve from the treatment – his passion, knowledge and care immediately shining through. Accompanied by the clinic’s soft calm lighting, cool decor and uber- comfortable chair complete with warm ‘weighted’ blanket placed over me knew I was in for a real treat…
Utterly pampering, I came close to falling asleep after the first few minutes. Manuel removes any make-up, then proceeds to talk through his bespoke facial with his soothing voice. He told me he believes, “the power of human touch” is more important than ever in his soothing voice.
Processes used included: double cleansing, manual lymphatic draining and treatment masks. I would honestly say Manuel has ‘healing hands’ Nearly all of his bespoke facials are massage-based, with a combination of massage techniques and modern tech into his routine, I particularly loved the cool-touch therapy and LED.
Results? My skin looked lifted, clearer, and smooth. A real glow thanks to the facial massage, which really worked my facial muscles and brought blood to the surface, giving life back to skin while sculpting, too.
I left feeling totally relaxed, literally on cloud nine, a world away from the stressed-out person that arrived. My skin looked so radiant I left without make-up on (which is unheard of!) as I didn’t want to mattify the glow Manuel gave me. That’s the true test!
