This June, The Ivy Cardiff is rolling out the royal treatment to mark King Charles III’s official birthday – and you’re invited to raise a glass (or a teacup) in true Ivy style.
From 7th – 14th June, guests indulging in The Ivy’s iconic Afternoon Tea will be treated to a complimentary Tanqueray gin and tonic, fit for a King and served in one of Cardiff’s most elegant settings. Made with crisp Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Fever-Tree tonic, it’s the ultimate regal refresher – and one of His Majesty’s favourite sips.
Served on a classic tiered stand and packed with British favourites, The Ivy Afternoon Tea includes delicate finger sandwiches like 1917 Cure Smoked Salmon and Truffle Chicken Milanese, warm fruit scones with lashings of clotted cream and strawberry preserve, and a crown-worthy selection of sweet treats. Think mini Crème Brûlées, Chocolate Bombes, and Strawberry Jam Muffins – all as beautiful as they are delicious.
On Saturday 14 June, you can also claim your complimentary G&T with The Ivy’s Cream Tea, making it the perfect way to celebrate the big day – whether you’re popping in for a mid-shop treat or making a day of it with friends.
Maisie Denning at The Ivy Collection said:
“From one British icon to another, we wanted to wish King Charles III a very happy birthday and celebrate with our guests by offering complimentary gin and tonics when dining on our afternoon tea – and what better way than with his favourite tipple! This month we are celebrating all things British with our British Icons menu and stunning floral installations in restaurants around the UK, so whatever the occasion, our restaurants will provide the perfect setting, complete with a touch of British charm.”
Whether you’re toasting the King, catching up with friends, or simply craving a sweet escape in the city centre, The Ivy Cardiff’s afternoon tea promises an experience that’s truly top-tier.
