A Decade of Hot Yoga – Hotpod Yoga Cardiff Turns 10

Honoring studio owner Liz and the community she helped to build.

Hotpod Yoga Cardiff has reached a major milestone: it’s been 10 years since the UK’s leading hot yoga business brought its signature inflatable pod to Cardiff. While this anniversary is a moment of celebration, the studio wishes to also mark this achievement by honouring the loving memory of Liz Cousins, co-founder of Hotpod Yoga Cardiff, who has sadly passed away after a brave battle with cancer.

Founded by husband and wife team, Aaron and Liz Cousins in 2016, Hotpod Yoga Cardiff has since welcomed thousands of people through its doors, helping them stretch further, stress less, and sleep better. The studio has become a firm favourite in the local community, offering immersive hot yoga classes that are as accessible to beginners as they are rewarding for seasoned yoga practitioners.

Reflecting on Liz’s life, her commitment to the studio, and the community they built together, Aaron says:

“Over this decade with our Hotpod in Cardiff, we’ve had amazing teachers and a loyal community of customers and friends who genuinely love the pod. Liz had a big personality. Life feels quieter without her. But I know she’d want me to keep going. To keep bringing yoga to everyone who needs it. So let’s turn the heat up and sweat our way into the next ten years.”

Part of Europe’s largest yoga business, Hotpod Yoga Cardiff is one of over 68 studios but, at the same time, has become a unique part of the local community. In honour of Liz, the team is excited to celebrate this milestone with the friends, neighbours and customers who have made it all possible.

Hotpod Yoga uniquely combines an immersive and accessible style of yoga with a cocoon-like pod, warmed to the perfect, soothing heat. The pod’s soft lighting, aromatic warmth and flowing sequences create a multisensory environment that makes it easier to switch off, tune in, and move with intention.

Physically, the heat deepens flexibility, supports mobility, and helps build strength without strain, while the steady flow boosts cardiovascular fitness. Mentally, the pod’s calming atmosphere encourages presence, reduces stress, and provides a restorative escape from daily noise. The result is a practice that’s both energising and grounding – leaving you clearer, calmer and stronger in body and mind.
