New Dates Confirmed For ‘DEPOT LIVE’ Gigs This Summer

OLLY MURS, FOALS AND KAISER CHIEFS CONFIRM RESCHEDULED DATES

TOM GRENNAN AND BECKY HILL ALSO ADDED TO THE LINE-UP

Organisers behind four headline gigs planned to take place in South Wales this summer have announced rescheduled dates as a result of ongoing Coronavirus restrictions.

In both Cardiff and Swansea, Depot Live have rescheduled gigs with FOALS, Olly Murs and indie rockers The Kaiser Chiefs – the latter are due to headline DEPOT’s one day festival, DEPOT in the Castle.

NEW DATES CONFIRMED

  • FOALS at Cardiff Castle will now take place on Thursday 12th August (instead of 5th June 2021).
  • FOALS at Singleton Park will now take place on Saturday 14th August (instead of 4th June 2021).
  • DEPOT in the Castle headlined by the Kaiser Chiefs will now take place on Saturday 14thAugust (instead of 10th July 2021).
  • Olly Murs at Singleton Park will now take place on Sunday 15th August (instead of 5th June 2021).

TWO NEW ACTS ADDED

Organisers have also added two new acts to the schedule, with Tom Grennan confirmed to support Kaiser Chiefs at DEPOT in the Castle. Grennan’s first album, Lighting Matches, was one of the best-selling debut albums of 2018. He rose to fame through his first appearance as the guest vocalist on the Chase and Status track, All Goes Wrong. His new single, This is the Place, from his forthcoming album, is out now.

Becky Hill is also confirmed to support Olly Murs at Singleton Park. Hill took part in ‘The Voice’ back in 2012 and later became the first contestant to have a Number one single in the UK with Gecko (Overdrive). In November 2020, she covered Alphaville’s Forever Young, and her version was featured in the UK’s McDonalds Christmas advert.

DEPOT founder Nick Saunders said, “With coronavirus restrictions still ongoing, we have taken the decision to move these events to later on in the summer. But we’ve worked hard to reschedule every event and to add some new artists to the line-up, and all tickets will automatically carry over to the new dates; ticket holders just need to hold onto their original bookings.”

“We are feeling positive, and just looking forward to the days when we can welcome guests to experience our live music events once again.” he added.

Ticket holders will not need to do anything to validate their tickets for the new dates, but future ticket sales may be subject to an additional admin fee as a result of the date change.
