Take a trip to the breath-taking luxury sister hotels Roch Castle and Twr y Felin, situated in the gorgeous setting of historic St. Davids.
How often do you get to stay in a 12 th Century Norman castle? Not often I’m guessing. Set amongst the incredible landscape of rural Pembrokeshire, this remote ancient construction is now a beautiful luxury hotel, with 6 bedrooms, overlooking stunning St. Brides Bay and the Preseli Hills. Style of the city was lucky enough to be invited to stay at Roch Castle, and experience the fine dining on offer at Blas Restaurant in their sister hotel, Twr y Felin, a mere 20 minutes’ drive away.
The entire hotel has an air of peace and tranquillity, induced by the stillness of the surrounding countryside. The interior décor matches this feeling of equanimity, with its neutral tones and contemporary design, which was all very easy on the eye. Our wonderfully spacious bedroom, the ‘Ap Gruffydd’ room, had beautiful sea views over St.
Brides Bay, which we were able to sit and stare out at whilst enjoying an indulgent glass of bubbly.
If you fancy a change of scenery, you have the option of sitting in the appropriately named Sun Room, which includes a bar with a backdrop of incredible panoramic views. Roch Castle totally removes you from your hectic everyday environment, offering you time to recuperate in a place where the stresses of normal world feel like a distant memory. We highly recommend paying Roch Castle a visit, even a stay of 24 hours will leave you feeling
refreshed and reinvigorated.
