Escape to tranquillity

Beautiful landscapes, glorious views, and time to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy City. Lulworth Estate all the way down in Dorset is your next stop to total peace.

Cove Cottage

If you’re looking for the PERFECT idyllic stop to spend your days away, I cannot recommend Cove cottage on the Lulworth estate more! This newly renovated 17 th century Orne style cottage; Breathtaking from the front garden to the Al Fresco dining area on the patio at the back of the cottage. With an optional concierge service to aid with activities, private chefs and babysitters, there is nothing more you need… Well… except the perfect people to spend your getaway with! Just a short two minute walk to the Cove Beach, where you will stumble upon “The Boat Shed Café” and can enjoy a good ole cup of tea and a hearty breakfast whilst taking in the true beauty of the South
Coast.

Where to eat?

Local produce is a huge factor in this quaint estate and no matter where you eat you will always be tucking in to fresh, locally sourced food from the seas, to the gardens of Lulworth. I highly suggest the ‘Lulworth Cove Inn’ With a huge diverse menu for food, great wine, great atmosphere and an even better price you cannot go wrong.

Fancying a bit of Cream Tea after a long hike? Visit ‘The Doll’s House’ situated directly opposite Cove Cottage and experience what I must say ‘THE BEST SCONES’ I have ever had!

The Views

From coast to coast and landscapes farther than the eye can see, no matter where you walk you will be engulfed by the beauty of Englands first and ONLY natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having experienced first hand a 3 hour hike accompanied by Jim, one of the trusted Rangers on the estate; I can honestly say that the hike was made even more incredible because Jim – you could just feel the love and admiration that this local, and the other locals of the estate have for this place – submerging you with history, fables AND showing you the beauty of the Jurassic Coast.

The two main hikes; ‘The Rangers Walk’ and the hike down to ‘Durdle Door’ are both long, tiring but ALSO so incredibly worth it! The best part about all of these walking experiences is that they are perfect for all ages and all capabilities – whilst they seem difficult, just take your time, take a flask of something warm and don’t forget the snacks (Especially the home baked Red Velvet Cake and Rocky Road from the Heritage Centre’ located on the estate!)

Feeling a little more adventurous? Take full advantage of the coasteering activities available on the cove – for all ages and all abilities this is the truest way to truly see what the Jurassic Coast is really about, up close and in the elements.

With all of this on Britains doorstep? Why go anywhere else?
