The Spring Skincare Switch Up

As the warmer weather moves in, it’s time to rethink our skincare regime.  Gone are winters rich, nourishing moisturisers and indulgent oils, which can overload the skin.  Warmer weather dictates a beauty ’switch up’ to include lightweight, rebalancing and protective skincare. Think lighter moisturisers, purifying face masks and most importantly, a daily SPF.

Cleanse

Revive and refresh your complexion with the Nordic Roots Cranberry Micellar Foam – £19.00 (150ml). With make-up dissolving micelles this refreshing cleanser leaves skin clean, calm and comfortable.

Nordic Roots Cranberry Micellar Foam blends organic plant extracts with make-up dissolving micelles to effectively cleanse the skin. Working perfect harmony with your skin’s natural pH-balance, it leaves the face refreshingly clean, calm and dewy.

Exfoliate

Layering up too many rich skin products can leave skin congested. After removing makeup, treat your skin to a brightening treat with the Fruit Scrub Exfoliator – £18.00 (50ml).  A highly effective yet gentle natural exfoliator for instant radiance. Contains ultra-fine exfoliating particles of Bamboo and Bentonite clay to deeply cleanse and buff the skin. Dead skin cells are lifted away to reveal a revitalised and radiant complexion. This certified organic exfoliator is deliciously scented with the light and uplifting aroma of natural orange blossom and Bergamot Oil. 90% certified organic

Deep Cleanse>

During the warmer seasons, it’s important to deep cleanse your skin to prevent clogged pores. Treat your skin to a weekly deep cleanse with the Purifying Face Mask – £22.00 (50ml). This mattifying face mask uses Activated Charcoal to draw toxins out of pores while Bentonite Clay draws dirt away from the skin. Alpine Willow balances oil production to discourage acne bacteria while moisturising Oat Lipid seals in long-lasting softness.

Hydrate

During the winter months, we find ourselves reaching for heavier serums and moisturisers to combat skin drying. Come Spring, our complexions can rely on a lighter formulation to plump and nurture. The Nordic Roots Hyaluronic Booster Serum – £27.00 (28ml) is lightweight yet delivers instant hydration leaving skin deeply nourished, calm and smooth. Nordic Roots Hyaluronic Booster Serum blends organic plant extracts to instantly hydrate, plump and renew the skin. Working in perfect harmony with your skin’s natural pH-balance, this silken serum leaves skin deeply nourished, calm and smooth.   Follow with the Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser – £25.00 (50ml) for maximum moisture boost.  This soothing moisturiser activates hydration, helping restore, balance and protect the skin barrier.  Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser blends organic plant extracts to deeply hydrate and soothe the skin. Working in perfect harmony with your skin’s natural PH-balance, this skin-calming cream is enriched with plant-based emollients to restore, protect and balance the skin barrier.

Protect

Last, but by no means least, is a high factor SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. While all-year round SPF is recommended, it’s even more important during the sunnier months. The Tinted DD Moisturiser SPF 15 – £39.00 (30ml) protects against sun damage while offering flawless coverage. Enriched with 35 beauty-enhancing actives, it uses Sea Fennel Plant Stem Cells to stimulate cell renewal and increase hydration, while ensuring the complexion is protected from UVA/UVB damage. It’s also important to protect hands against sun damage and skin ageing.  Try Green People’s Edelweiss & Green Tea Hand Guard SPF 30 – £17.50 (50ml).  A scent-free natural hand cream with SPF to naturally protect against sun damage and skin ageing.  Moisture-retaining natural and organic plant ingredients hydrate and replenish the hands.  Naturally rich in age-defence antioxidant ingredients.  High-factor SPF30 sun filters provide safe and effective protection against UVB rays.
