Providing your culinary passport to French culture, the Nation’s favourite indulgent cheese, Boursin®, launches a FREE pop-up dining experience across two days in June.
As the latest research reveals that 76% of Brit’s would like to experience a Taste of French living, Boursin® has partnered with renowned chef Manon Lagrève to make that a reality. Designed to transport your tastebuds through the iconic regions of France, the FREE immersive experience is set amongst the lilac blooms of a secret lavender field encapsulating the beauty of rural Provence.
Manon Lagrève, Great British Bake-Off star and French cook has partnered with Boursin® to create an exclusive five-course menu inspired by her French heritage. Guests can pre-book a space for Friday 28th or Saturday 29th June, with a choice of two sittings from 1pm – 3pm or 6pm – 8pm. Just a short direct train journey from London, the pop-up is nestled in a private lavender field in Eynsford, Kent*.
From French classics such as moules (mussels) to succulent seasonal summer poulet roti (roast chicken), the dishes use seasonal ingredients, blending the best of British with the French ‘Je ne sais quoi’. More than just a fusion of flavours – the experience offers a bridge between cultures, a celebration of the French way of life, the joy of sharing, the beauty of summer and the unmatched taste of France.
Providing recipes and hosting inspiration this summer, Manon has created delectable dishes all elevated with iconic French cheese Boursin®. Inspired by her recent travels across France and her French upbringing in Brittany, Manon says “I loved developing these recipes as I grew up with Boursin® cheese – it’s one of my favourite French ingredients as it’s so versatile and can quickly transform something simple into something special. I experienced the most amazing food on my French road trip, which I have incorporated into these delicious recipes for you to enjoy.”
The pop-up experience has launched from brand-new research by Boursin®, which found that ‘good taste in food’ was what Brits admire most about their French counterparts, while cheese is considered one of the top three exports to cross the Channel.
Guests will also be one of the first to experience Boursin’s®’s latest culinary partnership with Côte Brasserie. The brand-new Boursin® Harissa Tomatoes dish, developed by Côte Executive Chef, Steve Allen, will form part of the French brasserie chain’s exciting new Summer Specials offering. Côte’s Summer Specials debut on 4 July, so if you can’t make it to the pop-up, don’t miss your chance to explore exciting French fusions and a world of flavour at Côte restaurants nationwide throughout July and August.
