Entrepreneur Michelle Morgan came up with the idea for Pjoys after experiencing first-hand what it’s like to mentally burn out. During her recovery, her pyjamas came her inspiration. She wanted to take the duality of the PJ day, which can be calm and relaxing, but on the flip side is a very difficult day for many. Pjoys uses this symbolism and the joy of art, as a way to start a conversation about self-care and make mental health a more accepted topic.
Launched on World Mental Health Day, new purpose-led pyjama brand Pjoys aims to make mental health an everyday conversation. Working in collaboration with top international artists, Pjoys gives power to the PJ, using pyjamas as a blank canvas for stunning works of art as well as sharing helpful stories on mental health through their website and foundation.
Michelle now delivers Mental Health Fist Aid training around businesses and schools.
Pjoys is an exciting new purpose-led pyjama brand which aims to make mental health an everyday conversation. We want to give power to the PJ! That’s right, PJs with purpose. Beautiful organic cotton pyjamas are the blank canvas for internationally acclaimed artists. They’re using the joy of art, PJs and their online platform and website to share helpful and hopeful stories on mental health and fund innovative projects through the foundation.
The PJs are conversation starters and artist designs are limited edition and individually numbered: collectable, wearable art for good. Pjoys first collection is gender neutral for her, him and they and the PJs are packed with purpose, from what they are made from, by whom and what they stand for. Kind to people and planet. These would make a fabulous gift to get ahead of Christmas, whilst supporting the incredible cause of Mental Health Charities, either for yourself or a special, stylish someone who appreciates fabulous artwork.
Michelle’s work has led her to being within The Progress 1000: London’s most influential people 2018: The Changemakers.
